Japanese car-manufacturer Honda has been named at the winner in four categories in the Auto Express Driver Power Survey 2003.

The survey is Britain's largest and most comprehensive car reliability and satisfaction survey.

The car manufacturer, which has a factory in Swindon, won four categories including Best Reliability and Best Practicality for the Jazz super-mini. The company also won Best Performance and Best Gearbox for the S2000 roadster.

The strong performance of the Swindon-built Civic and CR-V models ensured the manufacturer a top ten position in the Driver Power manufacturer's league.

Commenting on the Honda Jazz's reliability, the magazine said: "Unlike most small cars which are invariably built to a price and knocked out of the factory by the thousand, the Jazz feels as thoroughly engineered and built as an aircraft."

Talking about the performance of the S2000, the survey said: "Honda has always had a reputation for building great engines, but in the two litre fitted to the S2000, the firm has excelled itself."

More than 25,000 drivers took part in Driver Power 2003 completing a detailed questionnaire that appeared both in the Auto Express magazine and on its website asking them to rate their cars.
