HOSPITAL volunteers have celebrated another successful year of fundraising, which has seen them buy thousands of pounds of equipment to help care for patients.
Bradford on Avon Hospital League of Friends, which supports the hospital, two GP practices and patients in the community, has provided a range of medical equipment in the last year.
Friends chairman John Cottle said: "Money for these items came from house-to-house and street collections, donations from grateful patients, collecting boxes, and during this last year, a substantial legacy."
The league was formed in 1954 and day-to-day help the volunteers provide includes flowers and pot plants, and talking and listening to patients. John Ward, of the Friends, said: "We are very grateful to all those who support our work but we would like more members to join us."
