THE Prospect Hospice is to set up a bridal boutique next month.
Brides-to-be will be able to choose from high-quality donated items including dresses and accessories.
There will also be a selection of evening wear.
The boutique, based at the hospice's existing charity shop in Victoria Road, Old Town, will be officially launched on April 4 by Sheila Harrod and members of Swindon's Kent-wood Choir.
The Wroughton-based hospice provides an inpatient service, a day hospice and Macmillan nursing services for seriously-ill people and their families.
It serves a community of 300,000 stretching from High-worth in the north to Ludger-shall in the south, and from Ramsbury in the east to Lyneham in the west.
The service is free to patients and families, and depends for its existence on raising £1.7 million every year in donations and fundraising efforts. Donations of good quality items of both wedding and evening wear can be delivered to the shop, or collection can be arranged by calling the charity's fundraising office on (01793) 815142.
