A UNIQUE event, which gives classic, sports and specialist car owners the opportunity to experience the thrill of motorsport takes place at Castle Combe circuit on Sunday March 30.
The RPM Spring Tour provides owners with the chance to tread the paths of many great names, visiting a variety of venues steeped in motorsport nostalgia.
After a route combining Prescott Hill Climb, the Cotswold countryside, South Cerney airfield near Cirencester, Bowood House and Hullavington airfield, the 120 cars arrive at the Castle Combe circuit for six laps of the famous Wiltshire race track.
While the event is competitive, there is no timed competition.
Instead, driving proficiency will be assessed by a team of experienced observers looking for skills such as those driving the best racing lines, safety, smooth driving style and overall car control. Trophies will be presented for driving proficiency and awards made for the best presented pre-1975, 1976-89 and 1990-03 vehicles.
Entries are open to cars manufactured between 1940 and the present day. Cost per car and two people is £167.50 (incVAT). More details from the event office on (01935) 424873.
l Spectators are welcome free of charge on the day from 3pm.
