PROSPECT Hospice was handed a cheque worth £3,000 following a whip-round at Swindon Town.
The club donated the proceeds from the FA Community Shield, while members of Swindon's Rotary Club collected cash from fans at last Wednesday's clash against Bristol City.
Nick Judd, Town's media and communications manager, said: "We wanted to donate the money to the Prospect so they can continue with their good work."
Rotarian and leader of Swindon Council's Conservative group Mike Bawden said: "The Rotary Club has a long, ongoing relationship with Prospect.
"Prospect plays a major part in helping patients suffering from cancer, and their families."
