BURGHILL Valley GC, situated four miles north of Hereford, are hosting a unique event called The Burghill Valley Handicap Chase Open to be staged over the May Bank Holiday, May 25-26.
In conjunction with Hereford Racecourse, they will be hosting a golf and horseracing tournament.
On Sunday teams of four will compete at Burghill in a stableford competition with the best two scores counting on each hole.
On Bank Holiday Monday the same teams will go racing at the Hereford racecourse, where they will select four horses per race.
The horses will be awarded points according to their finishing positions with the best two selected to count. Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the most points from each of the golf and racing days, and the combined scores from both days. Prize giving will be held at the racecourse.
A local charity will receive a donation from the proceeds. Additional guests will only pay £5 for entry into the racing.
What better way to spend the late May Bank holiday?
