CHILDREN at Kings Lodge Primary School, Chippenham have the chance to exercise their creativity skills every week with a new initiative designed to bring pupils together.
All the youngsters have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities at the school, including a science club, hockey, cookery and origami.
The special afternoons, which are run on a Tuesday, started after half term and will continue until the end of the school year.
They are appreciated by all at the Pewsham school.
Spokesman Louise Romain said: "The whole school gathers in the playground at a quarter to two and teachers hold up banners so the children know where to line up.
"They then go off and start their chosen activity. There are 19 groups covering a range of different things."
Teachers and governors also take part in the activities and the whole school is enjoying this new approach to teaching.
Mrs Romain said: "Older children are encouraging the little ones and activities such as cookery help prepare them for later life."
