POLICE will re-investigate the death of a 20-year-old crack cocaine user found dead on a sofa at a Chippenham house.
Deputy Wiltshire Coroner William Bache brought a sudden end to the inquest into Gary Willcox's death and ordered police to look again at the circumstances as fresh allegations came to light.
New evidence emerged when Mr Willcox's friend Stephen Pitt explained how he found the body of his friend on the sofa of his home in Patchway on September 8.
Grieving Melksham mother Janet Willcox was allowed to quiz Mr Pitt raising queries as to whether he allowed her son to inject drugs at his house in Patchway.
Police will be tasked with investigating the drug allegations before the inquest can resume.
Mr Bache, sitting at Chippenham Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, said there were issues for police to resolve before the inquest could continue.
Speaking after the inquest Mrs Willcox, of Beanacre Road, Melksham said there were a number of issues she wanted cleared up surrounding the death of her son.
