VILLAGERS in Coleshill, near Highworth, are aiming to be the first 100 per cent environmentally friendly community.
The goal is for every household to compost at home and join in Vale of White Horse District Council's green box recycling scheme.
On Saturday, April 5, residents will gather on the Green in Coleshill to collect their recycling paraphernalia and there will be the judging of a youngsters' competi- tion to design a logo for future projects.
Apart from receiving a prize the winning artist will have their design reproduced on reusable linen shopping bags distributed to all houses.
Vale of White Horse Coun-cillor Tony De Vere said: "This is a wonderful effort by residents of Coleshill and a good example of working together."
