Emma Carter, dance education and access officer, Swindon Dance will be holding a dance taster workshop from 10.30am to noon on May 18, for adults and young people aged 11 and over, in Northview School, Highworth.
This will give those who attend a chance to have some fun while taking part in creative dancing. After the taster session there will be the opportunity to attend other sessions and work with Emma on a short dance for the June 29 performance at Pentylands Country Park, Highworth.
The workshop is an opportunity to find out how a dance is created with a group of dancers, to do some exercise and have lots of fun. This group will also be working with live music. Admission is free.
The Branching Out performance in June will also involve Highworth Choral Society, Highworth Silver Band, Warneford Big Band, pupils from all local schools, Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts and Guides, local amateur dramatic performers, the folk club and other local musicians.
For more information please ring Emma Carter at Swindon Dance on (01793) 463217 or Liz Rothschild on 01367 240508.
There will be no entrance fee.
