A FIVE year-old girl has been killed in a road accident in Watchfield.
Angharad Brosnan died at Great Western Hospital hours after being struck by a car in the Watchfield Village Hall car park in Chapel Hill, Watchfield.
The girl, of Roman Walk, Watchfield, was hit by a silver Volvo estate at 5pm on Thursday. Wit-nesses should call PC Ed Turner on (01235) 556920.
Elsewhere traffic coming into Swindon was held up after a two-vehicle collision on the A419 near the village of Latton at 11.40am yesterday.
One person was taken to Great Western Hospital after a car emerging from the Total garage caused a second car to swerve and collide with the central reservation. Police say the person has minor injuries and that it was a minor accident.
AA Roadwatch say traffic on the southbound carriageway was delayed slightly but all lanes were open by 1pm.
