THE history of Swindon's police force will be outlined at a talk organised by the Swindon Society.
Perry Barrett will be giving the illustrated lecture, called the History of Swindon Constabulary, at the Broad Green Community Centre on April 9. The talk will start at 7.30pm, with admission costing £1.50 for visitors and 50p for members.
The society is devoted to promoting knowledge of the history of Swindon and celebrated its 30th birthday this month.To mark that anniversary, the society is holding an exhibition of old photographs, maps and memorabilia covering the town's history.
People can visit the display at the Lawn Community Centre on Wednesday.
