THE Swindon Kite Festival takes flight next month.
Members of the White Horse Kite Flyers will gather at Lydiard Park on May 10 and 11 to fly a spectacular display of kites.
Indian fighting kites, sport kites, and kites big enough to lift people off their feetwill feature in the festivities.
Besides kite flying, a children's kite workshop, teddy bear parachuting and food stalls are also planned.
Adding colour to the event, local artists will paint kites.
The White Horse Kite Flyers are a group of local kite enthusiasts who first organised the Swindon Kite Festival in 1991.
The event runs between 10am and 5pm on both days.
