HAVING experienced the devastating effects of V1s, V2s, and a land mine during the 39-45 war, the shocking injuries as a result, equal to anything Saddam could inflict, the thought of this happening to the innocent people of Iraq with little or no medical supplies is to me just not on, we are supposed to be more civilised.
I do however support our troops. They do as they are told, but I am against this Government's policy the more so since reading a letter from a Bernard Potter in a national newspaper ("BAE's French rival will kit out the army").
The government has awarded a major defence contract to the French company thales which is part owned by the French Government to kit out the army.
It is astonishing that anti-war France should be given the opportunity to have a strategic hold over essential supplies to our troops.
