A FOUR week embroidery exhibition has opened at Wroughton Library.
The Swindon and North Wilts branch of the Embroiderers' Guild is showing around 50 exhibits in its Amulets, Charms and Secrets display.
Guild member Kathy Danswan, a textile artist, said the exhibition has something for everyone.
"The work includes a range of embroidery and from a variety of abilities," she said.
"There are wall hangings, bead and machine embroidered purses, traditional cross stitch designs and shadow-work embroidery.
"One of the items I have submitted is an evening bag made out of all sorts of materials with appliqu butterflies.
"It sounds difficult to do but it really isn't when you know how."
Mrs Danswan added the Guild welcomes new members at its meetings on the first Monday of the month at Churchfields School, Salcombe Grove.
It costs £3 to attend, but leaflets offering one free entry are available at the exhibition.
The library is open on Monday and Friday from 10am until 1pm and from 2pm until 8pm, on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am until 1pm and from 2pm until 5pm, and on Saturday from 10am until 1pm.
The exhibition runs until April 25.
