SCHOOLCHILDREN have met teachers from other countries to learn about different cultures.
The youngsters at Grange Junior School have been writing to pupils at schools in Italy and Finland. The links between the three schools were set up by the Comenius project, which is run by the European Union.
Project co-ordinator Alan Duffy, a teacher at Grange school, said the trip had been a resounding success and the children had been fascinated by what they had learned.
The visitors include two teachers from Kajaani in Finland and two from Osimo in Italy.
They are staying for four days and so far have taken part in a skittles night, been amazed by Avebury and enjoyed a visit to the Steam museum.
Alan Duffy said: "The children performed some music and poetry for them. The visit has been a great success."
