SWINDON steam railway enthusiasts will be able to see engines built here back in action again at the Dean Forest Railway in Gloucestershire.
After three months of refurbishment and renovation the heritage railway in Lydney is back in business with a number of attractions lined up for visitors over three weekends.
Included will be a special diesel weekend on Saturday and Sunday, when the railway's home fleet will be in action with the Class 108 diesel multiple unit hauling passengers. Steam locomotive fans will also have a treat over the next two months as the Swindon-built Great Western Prairie tank is joined by the Port Talbot 0-6-0 saddle tank 813.
