THE South Wiltshire Economic Partnership has begun its survey of 5,600 businesses following the launch of its commercial property website.
The website was launched to provide a database of all types of commercial property and land in south Wiltshire, following businesses' concerns of the lack of office, industrial and warehouse space in the district.
The survey aims to determine the extent of premises and land needed by the business community and to identify their preferred locations.
Alan Taylor, SWEP chairman, said: "SWEP has an important role to play in influencing land use and planning.
"If we can learn in advance exactly what businesses need and when, the location and size, then we can start planning properly."
