A PLAN for a multi-sports complex with pitches, changing rooms and a clubhouse was endorsed at a meeting in Malmesbury last Thursday.
The scheme is in response to a need in the community to pool resources, said the Mayor John Bowen, who added the proposals would now be taken forward. He said: "It was a superb meeting; everybody, with one voice, actively said that we must go forward with the proposals."
Representatives attending the meeting included the town's football, cricket and netball clubs. A working group will be set up to discuss the proposals, and progress will be reviewed in May.
