WORLD Cup winner Alan Ball will be the guest speaker as Chippenham Town host their second Sports Dinner of the season on Saturday.
The Bluebirds players and staff will be in attendance at The Olympiad. The evening follows on from the inaugural dinner held at the same venue in September. Ball's former England team-mate Jimmy Greaves was the guest speaker as the club attracted more than 100 diners. The entertainer for Saturday's event is Barry Williams.
Chippenham are hoping an auction of sporting memorabilia with help bolster their coffers.
A signed West Ham pennant, a signed photograph of Arsenal's Thierry Henry, an Aston Villa shirt signed by England striker Darius Vassell and a signed football from Everton are among the items up for auction.
Chelsea donated a shirt signed by Gianfranco Zola and two tickets to their home game with Liverpool.
Guests are asked to arrive at 7.30pm for 8pm and tickets are priced at £35 plus VAT per person. A table for eight costs £300 plus VAT. Contact Susan Evans on (01249) 705912.
