TOGETHER with the successful processing of operations in the Gulf to date, we have also seen, heard and felt touched by the pain and suffering of some of those involved in the Gulf War.
Your prayers for the needs of those involved, as well as those left behind, is an important and appropriate element of our response.
It is also, of course, a practical action on our part in support of their needs. I would ask you, if you feel able, to pray for God's support, strength, courage and peace of mind for all involved.
Please also remember in your prayers, the apprehensions and heartfelt concerns of military and other personnel, together with their families and friends, who will be in need of your personal prayer today.
As well as offering your private prayers, there will be a time of collective prayer at St Peter's Church on the Rudloe site in Corsham from 12.30pm to 12.50pm each Monday, until further notice. All are welcome and I look forward to sharing in our collective response to the needs of the many.
A prayer for our forces in the Gulf

May they be aware of our prayers and thus feel in their hearts the knowledge of your love and the peace of your presence.
We ask this in Jesus' name and for His sake. Amen."
