While I was watching the disintegration of the World Trade Centre, I knew that from that moment on a war of this kind was inevitable, whether it be an "act of terrorism" or an "act of war".
The question is, do you let a psychopath who has committed crimes against humanity extend his psychosis to the rest of the world? A peaceful united diplomatic resolution against this criminal would be the best way to proceed, but in this instance diplomacy as been exposed as a fragile weapon.
The threat of Saddam, as well as other undemocratic regimes, to the security of the world is very real, and indecision at a diplomatic or military level is extremely dangerous.
I don't believe in God, but I do believe there is good in man, and my hopes and thoughts are with the men and women who give me the strength to keep believing this.
