GYPSY mother-of-two Rosemary Macdonald said she was being evicted even though she had sold all her furniture to pay off her debts.
Wiltshire County Council took Mrs Macdonald to court earlier this month because she had outstanding rent and electricity payments.
The magistrates ordered an eviction to be served by the end of March.
"My children are sitting on milk crates at the moment. I have sold everything so we can stay here and I can pay my arrears," said Mrs Macdonald.
But Wiltshire County Council said they had given Mrs Macdonald plenty of opportunity to make her payments.
"Legal action and eviction is always a last resort when all other means to receive the money owed have failed," said a council spokesman.
However Mrs Macdonald said she had the money and was prepared to pay it all in full.
She said she had nowhere to go and the council were pushing her and her two children on to the street.
The council refused to comment on Mrs Macdonald's specific circumstances.
