HOPEFUL home-buyers are already camping out to secure a special deal on one of 36 former Ministry of Defence homes in Devizes, even though they're not on sale for another two weeks.
Annington Homes, which bought the former Army married quarters in Nursteed Close, is offering two, three and four-bedroom homes for sale from £105,950 and a £99 deposit.
The company is offering to pay the rest of the five per cent deposit, £400 towards legal fees and £150 towards survey costs. When Annington last put former MoD homes on the market two years ago, all of them were snapped up on the first day.
Master chef Nick Homer was first in the queue for one of the two four-bedroom homes that are being offered for sale for £141,950.
Mr Homer, 31, is originally from Bristol, but he, his wife and their three children are currently living in rented accommodation in Devizes. He said: "When I heard these houses were up for sale, I was determined to be the first in line for one of them."
According to the rules of the deal, people have to stay on the site until the offer opens at 10am on April 11, or lose their place in the queue.
Five people were yesterday camping out and Annington staff have opened washing facilities in one of the houses.
