A SOFTWARE package which helps to tackle the problems linked with stress in the workplace is now available in the UK thanks to a Salisbury business.
Mike Bennett Associates, of Stratford-sub-Castle, has been appointed as the sole UK distributor of this new interactive package.
Developed by Gamma Health, the programmes are currently in use with American Airlines and other major companies.
The package is offered to companies and their employees can then access modules on stress management and time management. The software is installed on a company's own system or available on the web.
"Access is easy with a password employees can use the programme at work or at home, and members of their family can have a go too," Mr Bennett said.
"The user is actively involved, not just listening or looking passively, but answering questions and making choices.
"Also, there are video case studies and some more light-hearted activities such as a film which monitors stress levels."
He added that with all the publicity and concern about stress, and some of the cases which have been brought against employers, a package like this can provide a positive approach to stress management.
It could also help to meet an employer's duty of care legal obligation.
