SALISBURY City's annual golf day went with a swing as 26 teams competed at High Post on Friday, despite appalling weather conditions.
Whites boss Nick Holmes competed in the fundraiser alongside club director Nev Beal and his professional golfing brother Andy as well as Kev Hazzard.
However, honours on the day went to the Buddens Coaches team who notched up 80 points.
Simon Budden, who plays off a 16 handicap, also scooped the individual prize with an impressive 36 points.
Budden played down his role, saying: "It was a great team effort and we enjoyed ourselves despite the weather."
Holmes said: "Consider-ing the adverse conditions, the scoring was very good, and Simon's success has been noted by many for future reference."
Holmes added his thanks to event organiser John Rattue for arranging everything except the weather, and to Nick Croome, who supplied many of the Oakley prizes from his Gun Wharf shop at Portsmouth."
