AN indication that David Beckham may be on the move from Manchester United sooner than expected comes this week from an unexpected source.
John Etheridge, chairman of Marlborough Soccer School, has managed to get a Man United shirt, signed by the entire team, with one notable exception.
Mr Etheridge said: "My contact at Vodaphone, who sponsor Man United, says that Beckham won't sign any more shirts. That must say something about whether he's going to stay at the club or not."
The soccer school is hoping to auction the shirt in June to raise funds for its training activities for budding young footballers.
There has been much conjecture in the Press over Beckham's possible move to Real Madrid. The Spanish club denied there was any intention to buy the England captain but that was before buying Brazilian star Ronaldo.
