IT'S been a season of highs, lows, ups and down in the Swindon and District League.
The highs saw close battles for the titles in Divisions One, Two and Three, newcomers The Regent win the George Thomas Cup on top of promotion and Custom Homes upset Adver Cup favourites 147 Club in a thrilling final.
Although the Adver Cup finished with a flourish, the illegal player controversy marred the competition, as eventual winners Custom Homes were forced to play the last three rounds, including the final, within a week.
The Regent dominated the George Thomas Cup and after winning promotion will look to compete in Division Two next season. Worthington edged the title after a neck and neck run it with The Regent.
In Division Two, Woolworths were worthy champions after a consistent season. Westlecot made a late challenge to take runners-up spot.
Queenstown and Queensfield took the Division One title to the wire.
It was Queenstown who edged it though by one point.
In the Premier Division, 147 Club won the title but failed to wrap up the double.
And, down at the bottom, Wheatsheaf had a torried time due to a lack of players.
A lack of referees throughout the season was regular scenario, as well as several confrontational incidents between the men in black and players.
