THE Environment Agency is planning a rod licence blitz this weekend, to make sure that anglers are fishing legally.
Officers will be checking fishing sites around Wiltshire as part of a national campaign.
Anglers who fish without a valid licence can expect to receive a fine.
Funds raised from the sale of the licences help the Environment Agency in its work to restore fisheries, restock rivers, improve the riverside habitat and increase fishing opportunities for the young.
