THE 12th annual Swindon Kite Festival will be held at Lydiard Park this weekend.
The event is being run by the White Horse Kite Flyers, who will be joined by fellow flyers from all over the UK and some from the USA.
Kites of all shapes and sizes will be on display over the weekend, including some large enough to lift a human, along with Indian fighting kites, kite-buggying displays and a children's kite workshop.
A kite in the shape of a frogman's legs, measuring 67ft long and made by members of the club six years ago, will also be on display.
Performances by the club's own kite display team, Matrix Management, who recently competed in the world team kite championships in France, will be given throughout the weekend.
Other attractions will include a licensed bar, food stalls, coffee bar and bouncy castle.
All displays are subject to weather conditions.
The festival will be open from 10am until 5pm on each of the two days.
