For the first time in its 14-year history, Wiltshire's only country music festival will have an American artist wowing the crowds.
Texan singer and fiddle player John Permenter will top the bill on Saturday July 5 at the Calne Country Music Festival at Bevers Brook.
The festival runs from July 4 to 6 and attracts people from all over the UK and Europe. It is run to raise funds for Calne Community Transport.
Last year's festival raised £3,000 for the charity which provides transport for elderly and disabled people with special transport needs.
Alongside a full bill of country music, visitors will be able to take part in a quick draw contest, sample some native American dancing and enter the grand raffle.
Advance tickets offer best value for the weekend. Adult tickets cost £15, Children £4 and senior citizens £10. Children under ten years can get in for free.
Car parking, camping and showers are free at the venue. Camping must be booked in advance. For more information call (01249) 812845.
