COUNCILLORS to lose their seats included Grace Hill (Lib Dem) who was a councillor for Trowbridge College, but contested a seat in Trowbridge Drynham ward where she lost out to Conservative councillors Graham Payne and to second placed Cllr Gerald Burnan by 40 votes.
She was elected to the council in a 1986 by-election.
Marcus Francis (Lib Dem) was a councillor for Drynham ward. He was first elected in the 1998 by- election.
Mary Stacey (Lib Dem) was first elected to West Wiltshire District Council in 1987 and was the cabinet spokesman for tourism. She was also chairman of the central area committee and is a former chairman of the council.
Peter Fuller (Con) was a councillor Trowbridge Park after being elected to the council in 1999. He was councillor for Trowbridge Drynham from 1983 to 1991.
Davina Griffin (Lab) was the councillor for the old ward of Melksham Lambourne. She was first elected in 1995.
Bill Hurd (Con) was elected to the old ward of Wylye Valley in 1999 and was chairman of the district council's Southern Area Committee. He represented Shearwater ward between 1991 and 1995.
David Lovell (Lib Dem) was elected to the council in 1999 and was vice-chairman of the southern area committee.
Alison Irving (Lib Dem) was chairman of West Wiltshire District Council. She was first elected to the council in 1995.
Horace Prickett (Lib Dem) was elected to the council in 1999 and held the cabinet portfolio for service delivery, overseeing refuse collection, revenues and benefits, grounds maintenance and cleansing.
Gordon King (Lib Dem) was elected to West Wiltshire District Council in 1999.
