CAMPAIGNERS in Highworth are celebrating preventing developers from building 54 homes on a Greenfield site.
While there is a need for housing for our expanding population, there is no need to use green land while there is so much as an acre of previously used "brownfield" land vacant.
Developers have to be made to realise this.
The decision of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, was the right one.
