MALMESBURY Under 13s have been crowned champions in the Cirencester and District Youth League for the second successive year.
A trio of fine strikes earned the Wiltshire side a 3-0 win other Cricklade and ensured the title would stay put.
Cricklade had to win to keep their fading hopes of pipping Malmesbury alive.
A goalless first half gave the Swindon outfit hope, but Malmesbury soon broke the deadlock after the interval.
A cross-field move between Max Whiting and Paul Bains found Sam Higginbottom, who sailed the ball over the Cricklade keeper from 25 yards.
Five minutes later a deep cross from Bains was elegantly tucked home by Michael Collison at the far post to double the champions' lead.
Malmesbury's third goal was a superb effort fromBains.
He took control of the ball close to the edge of his own box and set off on a dazzling solo run before crashing home an unstoppable effort from 20 yards.
