SWINDON Primary Schools' FA Representative side will represent the South West at the English Schools' FA Seven-a-Side National Finals on Saturday at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall.
The side qualified for the competition by winning the regional finals at Poole in March and face the three other regional winners South East (Hillingdon), North (Kingston-upon-Hull) and North West (Liverpool Schools FA).
This is the third time since 1995 that a Swindon Primary Schools side has represented the South West region.
In 1995 they lost at Wembley in the final to a golden-goal penalty against the Wirral, and in 1997 they played at Old Trafford where they were placed joint third.
Manager Steve Beale said: "This is a fantastic achievement for the boys and just shows how strong primary schools football is in the Swindon area.
"To win the regional finals against opposition from big cities such as Bristol, Southampton and Plymouth just adds to this.
"We won the regional final 5-1 against Poole and East Dorset after coming through the group stage without conceding a goal.
"If the players can show the same strength of character and play with the same determination they showed at Poole then I am confident we can win the competition."
