I READ with interest the comments on the problems of marketing the Steam Museum.
At last there are proposals to put the marketing of this museum on a viable basis.
The conclusions that this may not make money could be correct as this area is a growth market but there is a great deal of competition even in this region where there are active steam trains on view.
One area not mentioned is the fact that the conference area here is excellent and should be widely marketed.
This will make money and could subsidise Steam or should I say ex-Steam and welcome to the Great Western Railway Museum.
