THE BP team had a little left in the tank as they lifted the Intermach Cup after extra-time of their final against Dunbar.
The two Intermach Conference sides were locked together after normal time at the Wakefield House ground, but BP eventually ran out 3-0 winners to lift the trophy.
BP and Dunbar were very evenly matched, with BP enjoying the lion's share of possession but Dunbar quick to break and having the clearest scoring opportunities.
With the game remaining goalless, the final went into extra time and it was BP who finally broke the deadlock in the 95th minute.
The goal came from Paul Carter, who netted from close range after latching on to a Dave Knight cross.
With time slipping away Dunbar had no option but to push forward, but were unable to find a way through the BP defence, and in the 110th minute they succumbed to a Wayne Thompson header direct from a Gary Milsom corner.
With less than three minutes remaining, Paul Stoddart sealed the game with a fine solo goal.
Ray Williams, representing sponsors Intermach Engineering, presented the cup to the victorious captain Steve White.
