SALISBURY wrestling sensation Tristian Hayes, also known as The Anthrax Kid, is heading down under this week bidding to lift the eight-man single elimination IWA light-heavyweight title.
The 22-year-old hairdresser from Wilton is the only English representative at the championships which are being staged in Sydney on May 26.
It is the second time Tristian has competed in Australia. Last year he narrowly missed out on the title when he was beaten by Mark Mercedes.
Tristian, who has taken up combat jiu-jitsu in a bid to add a new dimension to his wrestling, says he is in peak condition ahead of the competition and is quietly confident of returning triumphant.
