RISING golf star Henrietta Brock-way will make history later this month by becoming the youngest female golfer to compete on the Ladies European Tour.
The Mere youngster, who only celebrated her 13th birthday in January, has been invited to join Europe's leading female golfers for both the Portuguese and the Irish Open.
Henrietta is currently in a rich vein of form having triumphed at both the Dorset Schools Champion-ships and over the four days at the Dorset County Championship.
Proud dad, Ian, said: "She'll be the youngest to take part in the tour by almost three years.
"She doesn't seem too concerned about being the youngest. She's a little bit excited, but just seems to take it all in her stride."
Earlier this month Henrietta, a pupil at Gillingham Comprehensive School, set a new record at the Dorset Ladies Championship by becoming the youngest person ever to win it.
"I think she was four years younger than any of the previous winners," added Ian.
Her success prompted the invitation from the PGA to join the tour in Portugal on May 24-25 and then in Dublin on June 13-15.
Henrietta insists her ultimate aim is to go to university at golf's spiritual home St Andrews before playing on the lucrative United States' PGA women's tour.
