BROWNIES from Yatton Keynell will be collecting money for a new Guides and Brownies headquarters at a giant car boot sale on Sunday.
The Brownies will be out collecting at the car boot sale at Castle Combe racing circuit near Chippenham.
A share of the money will go towards the £55,000 needed for the new headquarters and activity centre being proposed for the outskirts of Swindon.
"People are always very generous and we raise some £700 to help finance our activities, which include weekend trips and providing for materials and equipment," said Brownie organiser Ann Turner.
"We have the same extensive shopping list and we share the results with the Guides and the Rainbows, as well as making a donation to the new HQ, so we are hoping for good weather and a very large turnout."
The car boot sale runs from 8am to 2pm. Charges are £8 for cars, and £25 for large vans, while bargain-hunters pay a 25p donation to the fundraising cause of the day.
