A TEAM of 20 enthusiastic walkers from Wiltshire accountancy firm Robson Taylor have just completed a marathon night-time power walk to raise money for breast cancer research and care.
The team, made up of seven staff from the firm's Corsham office, wore highly decorated bras for the 26 mile walk, known as the Playtex Moonwalk, at Battersea Park in London. Dee Gerrish, Rob Walsh (a partner with the firm) Linda Vosper, Carol Carpenter, Kerry Chapman, Susan Lawrence and Susan Watts all walked the full 26 miles to receive their Moonwalk Medal.
Linda Vosper said: "We didn't know what we were letting ourselves in for, but it was great fun and there was a lovely atmosphere throughout the night."
Mr Walsh added: "It was a tougher walk than I expected 26 miles is no walk in the park. But we all enjoyed it immensely and who wouldn't with 15,000 cheerful women in bras."
The Robson Taylor team trained together for months and have raised more than £7,000 in sponsorship for cancer charities.
Ruth Foreman, managing partner at Robson Taylor and a keen walker herself, said: "It's been a brilliant example of teamwork in action.
"We have all been highly motivated to train and walk as a team, so it's been good for us as a company as well as making us a lot fitter and raising money for a good cause."
