HELLENIC LEAGUE: PEWSEY Vale will play their football in the Hellenic League Premier Division next season after officials decided to relegate only one team into Division One.
The Wiltshire side finished third from bottom in their first season at Premier Division level and faced a quick return to Division One West.
But Pewsey have been spared, as only two sides finishing in the four promotion positions have grounds suitable for the Premier Division.
Yate Town's promotion to the Dr Martens League has also aided their cause and leaves bottom side Wantage as the only club facing the drop this term.
Meanwhile, the club's committee has set next Thursday as the deadline for anyone wishing to apply for the first and reserve team managerial positions at the club.
Steve Wootton and Alan Blake are likely to be named as first team managers, with Andrew Lawrence and Paul Clarke in charge of the second string.
All four were appointed on a caretaker basis during the season, and chairman Rob Thompson was pleased with their work.
He said: "There was a lot of support for both sets of managers, however we must be seen to be fair and follow the club's procedures.
"This is no reflection on the performance of the current management teams."
