MEMBERS of the armed forces past and present were on parade in Salisbury on Sunday afternoon for a rededication service at St Thomas's Church.
The parade, complete with standard bearers and members of the Royal British Legion, marched from the Guildhall Square to the church, where they were joined by dignitaries, including secretary-general of the British Legion Ian Townsend.
The standard bearers were led by Shrewton's Dennis Compton, who is the Legion's vice-chairman in Wiltshire, and those marching included Peter Douglas, chairman of the Legion's Salisbury branch.
A similar service last took place in Salisbury in 2000.
