WOOTTON Bassett's Under Eights are celebrating victory in a national football tournament.
More than 120 junior teams from all over the country congregated at Butlins in Bognor Regis, and Bassett's promising youngsters reigned supreme.
The Ballards Ash starlets collected the Spring Festival of Football trophy to cap a superb season following an unbeaten Swindon & District League campaign.
"It's unbelievable," said team manager Adrian Amos.
"The kids are ecstatic.
"There were some very good sides there, with academy lads from the likes of Arsenal and Charlton.
"At that age it's not about winning, it's about enjoying yourself.
"But to win it was a great way to end a great season."
