ROLEPLAYING exercises are to be used to help beat bogus callers targeting people who live near Swindon.
Cricklade and Wootton Bassett Community Safety Partnership, a multi-agency group which includes police from the two towns, is staging a special presentation from 8.30pm today at Cricklade Town Hall Annexe.
Sergeant Andy Bridge, of Cricklade Police, is reminding householders to "stop, chain and check" when strangers call at the front door and says he is using drama to drive home his safety message.
He said: "The presentation involves a member of the audience involved in role play with an actor who has volunteered his time from Wootton Bassett and Swindon Light Operatic Society."
The meeting will be part of a Cricklade Women's Institute meeting, and members of the public are welcome to attend.
