LIBRARIES in Chippenham, Corsham and Box are looking for volunteers to help with their home delivery service.
The service delivers books to people who have difficulty leaving their homes to visit the library.
Volunteers are involved in selecting books and tapes for housebound customers and visiting them on a regular basis.
The service also helps to ease the pressure on families looking after housebound relatives.
Community librarian Jane Dunmow said: "Many of our current volunteers would agree with these sentiments.
"If you feel that being a volunteer might be for you please contact your local library for further details. Training on library services and stock selection will be provided.
"The home service is a great way to make a difference to the lives of people in your community. Why not join your local library team and share your love of reading with others?"
Lisa Main decided to become a volunteer for the Corsham library home service soon after she moved to the area.
She said: "I find being a volunteer fulfiling and great fun. It gives me the opportunity to meet people and discuss books."
