The RSPCA is appealing to pet lovers in west Wiltshire to come forward and help boost the charity's animal welfare work.
Fresh faces are needed for the charity's Wiltshire Mid branch to assist with fundraising events in areas including Westbury, Warminster, and Melksham.
The appeal follows a successful recruitment drive in Chippenham in March, which resulted in many offers of help at the RSPCA's shop in the town.
Branch volunteer Andy Sheppard said: "Getting involved means that you can give as little or as much time as you can. Even volunteering once a year, with a table-top sale or house-to-house collection, can help raise vital funds for local animals."
All money raised by the Wiltshire Mid branch is ploughed back into helping local animals and their owners. This enables the branch to provide financial assistance for pet owners on benefits.
Last year the branch helped pay for treatment for more than 200 pets. This ranged from neutering and dental work, to flea treatment and road traffic injuries.
Anyone interested in getting involved with the RSPCA's Wiltshire Mid branch should contact Val Warren on (01264) 363034. The RSPCA will provide training and support for all new volunteers.
