THE parents of student Rachel Whitear were due to meet with Wiltshire detectives yesterday to discuss the new police probe into their daughter's death.
Pauline and Michael Holcroft were due to meet head of Wiltshire CID Chief Supt Paul Howlett and his team of officers at their home in Herefordshire, yesterday.
The couple will go over statements made at the time of 21-year-old Rachel's death and express their concerns over the first two investigations carried out by Devon and Cornwall police.
Ms Whitear was found dead in her Exmouth flat in 2000 clutching a syringe in her hand.
It was believed Ms Whitear a former Bath student died of a heroin overdose but a post-mortem examination revealed the amount of drugs in her body were not enough to kill her.
