NEW faces took the helm at west Wiltshire's five town councils this week with the hand over of the mayoral chains of office.
Familiar face Glynn Bridges has once again taken on the role of Mayor of Trowbridge. He was mayor of the town for the 1998/1999 council.
He received the chain from outgoing mayor Andrew Bryant at the town council's meeting on Monday.
Also revisiting the top town honour is Vicky Landell-Mills who has been named the new mayor of Bradford on Avon.
She held the post for two years prior to outgoing Mayor Janet Repton.
Melksham councillor Terri Welch took over as town mayor at a ceremony on Tuesday.
She takes over from Vic Oakman, who has been the town's first citizen for the last three terms.
Taking up the chain of office in Warminster is Cllr Joan Main and in Westbury Horace Prickett was elected to the office of mayor at the first meeting of the new council on Monday.
He was a popular choice, having stood in earlier in the year when previous mayor, Bill Braid resigned.
