The Trowbridge Ad Hoc Peace Group, set up by Peggy Thomas and Catherine Willis to protest against the Afghan War and the war on terrorism, has completed its second chapter of silent vigils against the War on Iraq.
The group is taking stock and discussing other ways to pursue its mission for peace.
We are enormously grateful for the support of Trowbridge people for our appeals to the Prime Minister, which have carried hundreds of signatures, asking for example for an end to the use of cluster bombs, which the British forces used in the Iraq conflict, and which are still maiming Iraqi children who mistake them for toys. We appreciate very much the help the Wiltshire Times has given us in letting your readers know of our activities. Many thanks.
Carol Smith,
(For the Trowbridge Ad Hoc Peace Group).
